Aisling Bea is an actress, stand-up comedian and Ireland writer from Kildare where she was born on 16 March 1984. She won the UK Comedy Award for Best Female Television Comedian in 2014. She studied at LAMDA (Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, London). She won the Gilded Balloon in 2012 And You Think You are Funny? The first woman to win the stand-up competition in twenty years. She currently lives in London.
