Alessia Caracciolo (born July 11, 1996) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, professionally performing as Alessia Cara. She signed with EP Entertainment and Def Jam Records in 2014 after making acoustic covers, and released her debut single the following year. "Here" on the Canadian Hot 100 chart reached number 19, and was a sleeper success in the United States, peaking at number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Cara's debut studio album, Know-It-All (2015), has reached number 8 on the Canadian Albums Chart and number 9 on the United States Billboard 200 list.
