How tall is Alison Steadman?
Liverpool-born actress Alison Steadman, the daughter of George Percival Steadman and Marjorie Evans, was born in 1946. She was educated at Childwall Valley High School and from 1966-1969 trained at the East-15 Acting School, then served as a clerk at the Liverpool Probation Service before settling on a full-time acting career.She made her professional stage debut at the Theater Royal in 1968 in "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie," where she also played Ophelia in "Hamlet." After her repertory experience, she met Mike Leigh and starred in his plays "The Jaws of Death" and "Wholesome Glory," the latter making her London debut in 1973.
