She got fame in 2011, after her single "Alone Again" was released.Reid grew up in Brampton, Ontario and was born in Edmonton, Alberta. Her family frequently migrated around Canada. Reid said it gave her the life experience she needed in order to get into the music industry. At age 7, she wrote her first song and at age 9, she started vocal lessons. She has since continued to develop her voice into what has become a single style of vocals. She is of Irish and Polish[1] heritage.
