Prior to that she was committed to Ashley Hamilton. After she slipped off a horse, she broke her leg at age 19, and had to learn how to walk again. In 1987, she graduated from Harvey S. Firestone High School ("Home of the Falcons"). Her fellow students included Melina Kanakaredes. Experience as the Firestone Falcon mascot comprised Everhart's extracurricular programs at FHS. Modeling started at age 16, and moved to Paris a year later by herself.
