How tall was Anthony Franciosa?
Franciosa was born on 25 October 1928 in New York City to Anthony Papaleo. The son of a building worker and seamstress who split when he was a year old, after this he seldom saw his father and never really got to know the other one. After graduating high school, Franciosa stumbled across an audition for a play on a visit to a YMCA to take a free dance class. Franciosa began to act professionally, using the name of his mother's maiden as his stage name, and had his breakthrough in Calder Willingham's play "End as a Man" (1955), which premiered off-Broadway at the Theater de Lys on September 15, 1953 and was moved to Broadway on October 14, after 32 performances.
