Her first name Inbar, in Hebrew, means Amber. She studied Ballet and Modern Dance at the Kiarat Sharet School of Arts, then went on to study Method Acting and Stanislavski technique at the Sofi Moskowitz School of Acting in Tel Aviv. At 17 1/2 she then moved to New York to model and perform, remained there for only eight months, and moved to Los Angeles. Her debut studio album, Let Go (2002), highlighted a skate punk character that won her the title of "Rock Punk Queen" from reviewers and music publications because of her industry accomplishment and impact.Lavigne is considered to be a central musician in the growth of pop punk music as she led the way for female-driven, punk-influenced pop music.
