Elizabeth Key "Bess" Armstrong (conceived December 11, 1953) is an American film, stage and TV entertainer. She is most popular for her jobs in films The Four Seasons (1981), High Road to China (1983), Jaws 3-D (1983), and Nothing in Common (1986). Armstrong likewise featured in the ABC dramatization arrangement My So-Called Life and had lead jobs in various made-for-TV films. The 1990s carried Armstrong to her most popular job, playing Patty Chase on the arrangement My So-Called Life. She later featured in a few TV films. In 2000, she showed up on the NBC sitcom Frasier, in the scene "Mary Christmas." In 2008, Armstrong played Penelope Kendall on ABC's Boston Legal.
