Li Bingbing is a Chinese actress and singer (born 27 February 1973). She achieved fame with her appearance in Seventeen Years (1999), and has since earned critical praise for her roles in A World Without Criminals (2004), Waiting Alone (2005), The Knot (2006), The Forbidden Realm (2008), The Letter (2009), Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame (2010), and Zhong Kui: Snow Girl and the Dark Crystal (2015). Li has also portrayed Resident Evil: Vengeance (2012) and Transformers: Age of Destruction (2014) in Hollywood blockbusters. Li was a native of Wuchang, Heilongjiang. Originally, she had no expectation of becoming an actor, so actually enrolled prospective school teachers in a high school.
