Bo Derek (born Mary Cathleen Collins; 20 November 1956) is an American actress in film and television, a film producer, and perhaps best known model for her breakthrough appearance in sex comedy 10 (1979). In Stories, Tarzan, the Ape Man (both 1981), Bolero (1984), and Ghosts Can't Do It (1989), she was directed by husband John Derek, both of whom got critical reviews. Derek was born in Long Beach, California, to the Mary Cathleen Collins. Her boss, Paul Collins, was an executive of Hobie Cat, and Ann-Margret was a make-up artist and hairdresser with her girlfriend, Norma (née White). Collins 'parents were divorced, and her mother married Bobby Bass, an American stunt performer.
