In 1988, Bruce Parry entered the Royal Marines and served six years as a troop commander, working as a physical training instructor and being the youngest officer in charge of all physical aspects of Royal Marine commando training. He has worked in both Norway and Iraq during this period.Parry also presented the Discovery Channel's series ' Extreme Lives: Cannibals and Crampons, ' and also has television experience as a location manager, assistant director, camera operator and producer.
