How tall is Bud Cort?
Bud Cort, American actor / comedian, was born in New Rochelle, New York, to Walter Edward Cox. He grew up in Rye, New York, the son of Joseph P. Cox, an orchestra master, pianist and owner of a prosperous men's apparel shop in Rye, and Alma M. Court, a former columnist for the newspaper and Life magazine and an executive asst at M.G.M. in New York City.Bud applied to the NYU School of the Arts, now known as Tisch, after graduating from Iona Prep School run by the Christian Brothers of Ireland. Sadly, the acting department was packed but in 1967 he was accepted as a major in landscape design after seeing Bud's art collection. Bud continued to study with Bill Hickey and got to work privately in advertisements,-off Broadway Theater, and soap opera, "The Doctors."
