Carl George Fogarty, MBE (born 1 July 1965), also referred to as Foggy, is one of the world's most prolific superbike racers ever. He also has 59th largest number of race victories. He is the nephew of George Fogarty, a retired motorbike driver. Retired from racing since 2000, Fogarty is known for his high-speed riding style at the corner, paired with an intense rivalry that earned him 59 wins and four World Superbike Championships (1994, 1995, 1998 and 1999). His biggest achievement has been with the Ducati factory team. In the 1998 New Year Honours, he was made a member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) and helped create the Petronas FP1 racing motorcycle campaigned in the early 2000s.
