Carol Ann Alt (born December 1, 1960) is an American model and actress. Alt's first large break in displaying was in 1979, when she was included on the front of Harper's Bazaar magazine, yet collected exposure in 1982 when she was highlighted on the front of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. During the 1980s she showed up on more than 500 magazine covers, getting one of the most well known models of her time, accomplishing supermodel status. Alt graced the fronts of Vogue, Vogue Paris, Vogue Italia, Vogue UK, Mademoiselle, Elle and Cosmopolitan. She was alluded to as The Face by Life Magazine. During the stature of her prevalence, she was the essence of promotion crusades for Diet Pepsi, General Motors, Cover Girl Cosmetics, Noxzema, Hanes, Givenchy and various others. She was the principal model to create her own banners and schedules.
