Carol Channing was an American entertainer, vocalist, artist, and humorist, known for featuring in Broadway and film musicals. Her characters as a rule had an intense expressiveness and an effectively recognizable voice, in the case of singing or for comedic impact. Channing started as a Broadway melodic entertainer featuring in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes in 1949 and Hello, Dolly! in 1964, and winning the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for the last mentioned. She resuscitated the two jobs a few times all through her vocation, playing Dolly on Broadway for the last time in 1995. She was designated for her first Tony Award in 1956 for The Vamp, trailed by an assignment in 1961 for Show Girl. She got her fourth Tony Award assignment for the melodic Lorelei in 1974.
