Jake Zyrus (born Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco; 10 May 1992) is a Filipino singer and celebrity on television. He'd worked under the mononym Charice before his gender change to male. After several performances on Philippine television in 2007, Zyrus sang on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and he made numerous international performances on television the following year, including on The Oprah Winfrey Show. He then started singing, among others, in concerts with David Foster and Andrea Bocelli. In 2010 Zyrus released the studio album Charice; it reached the Billboard 200 at number eight, making it an Asian solo singer's first album ever to land in the top 10.
