Tessa Charlotte Rampling OBE (born 5 February 1946) [ citation needed ] is an English actress, model and singer, known for her work in English, French and Italian European arthouse films.[2][3 ] An icon of the Swinging Sixties, she began her career as a model and later became a fashion icon and muse.In the 1966 film Georgy Girl which starred Lynn Redgrave, she was cast in the role of Meredith. She soon started making French and Italian arthouse movies, particularly during this period in The Damned (1969) by Luchino Visconti and The Night Porter (1974) by Liliana Cavani. She went on to star in Zardoz (1974), Farewell, My Lovely (1975), The Stardust Memories of Woody Allen (1980),
