How tall is Chris Klein?
Chris Klein was born to Terese (Bergen), a kindergarten teacher, and Fred Klein, an architect, in Hinsdale, Illinois on 14 March 1979. He is of English, German and Irish origin. He moved to Nebraska with his family, after spending the first thirteen years of his life there. It was while he was in high school that director Alexander Payne discovered Klein, who had been busy casting his upcoming script, Election. Klein won Paul Metzler's part in Payne's script, which opened up to enthusiastic reviews. Like Paul, Klein played the dim yet sweet football hero, convinced by Jim McAllister of Matthew Broderick to race against Tracy Flick (Reese Witherspoon) in the school's student council election. The film was released to favorable reviews in April 1999. Shortly after, while attending TCU, Klein finds a decent amount of employment in the entertainment industry, where he taught theater and became a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha brotherhood. He was next seen in American Pie, which opened July 9, 1999, and was a good box office.
