Christopher "Chris" O'Dowd (born October 9, 1979) is an Irish actor and comedian best known for his appearance as Roy Trenneman in The IT Crowd (2006) on Channel 4. O'Dowd produced and appeared in Moone Boy (2012) of the Sky 1 television programme. He had a supporting role on the Girls (2012) drama show and appeared in the Family Tree (2013) television series. O'Dowd is also known for his films, most notably Bridesmaids (2011), This Is 40 (2012), Thor: The Dark World (2013), Calvary (2014), and St. Vincent (2014). In 2014 he made his Broadway debut in Of Mice and Men's play adaptation, for which he has been nominated for a Tony Award.
