Connie Stevens was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Concetta Rosalie Ann Ingoglia, daughter of actress Eleanor McGinley, and guitarist Teddy Stevens (born Peter Ingoglia). Her father was of Italian / Sicilian descent and her mother was half of Jewish and half of Jewish ashkenazi ancestry. When her parents (both jazz musicians) filed a divorce, Connie was raised by grandparents.
