Daisy Fuentes (born 17 November 1966) is a presenter, actress, and model in Cuban-American culture. Fuentes smashed walls as first Latina VJ of MTV (signed concurrently to MTV and MTV Latin America), and as the first Latina spokeswoman of Revlon to be signed to a worldwide deal. Although still a college student, Fuentes was hired to report the forecast at WNJU-TV 47, the Spanish-language TV network's local partner, Telemundo, on the 6p and 11p newscasts. Shortly thereafter, Fuentes took a spot with the Univision affiliate WXTV-TV 41 in New York where she covered for the evening news, in addition to being the weather anchor.
