Dana Elcar was born on 10th October 1927 as Ibson Dana Elcar in Ferndale, Michigan, USA. Popular for The Sting (1973), MacGyver (1985), and 2010 (1984), he was an actor and producer. He married Marianne Torrance, Mary Margaret Romano "Peggy," and Kathryn Frances Mead. He died in Ventura, California, USA on 6 June 2005. And his character Peter Thornton on MacGyver (1985) was written for the same affliction as he started to go blind. His blindness was also written in his Law & Order (1990) guest appearance, as a result of Diabetic Retinopathy. Do not feature in any of the two TV movies of MacGyver (1985): MacGyver: Atlantis Hidden Treasure (1994) and MacGyver: Road to Doomsday (1994)?
