Danielle Christine Fishel was born in Phoenix, California, on 5 May 1981. Around the age of ten she began to perform professionally, during which she made several appearances and advertisements for TV shows. Initially she was a guest star on the series Boy Meets World (1993), but Danielle added a spark the series wanted and shortly afterwards she became a regular cast member. On the series she played Topanga Lawrence, Cory Matthews 'sister. Even landing her face on the cover of "Seventeen" magazine, the display gave Danielle much exposure. She was named as one of the hottest stars under the age of 21 in Young People's magazine. She received her high school diploma in 1999.
