David Thomas Jones (December 30, 1945 – February 29, 2012) was an English singer-songwriter, guitarist, actress and businessman, best known as a member of the Monkees band, and a narrator of the same name TV series.His acting credits include a Tony-nominated role in Oliver's original London and Broadway adaptations as the Artful Dodger! As well as a guest star appearance in a esteemed episode of The Brady Bunch TV show and later reprised spoof movie; Love, American Style; and My Two Fathers. A buddy who worked in a theatre in London's West End during casting for the musical Oliver! told Foster. Foster responded, "I have the boy." Jones was cast and starred as the Artful Dodger to great acclaim. He performed the part in London and then on Broadway and was nominated for a Tony Award.
