Dawn Elberta Wells (born October 18, 1938) is a beauty queen who became famous as Mary Ann Summers on the CBS Gilligan Island, and an American actress. The last two regular cast members of this series are She and Tina Louise.Wells was born in Reno, Nevado and attended Reno High School[1], where she studied pharmaceutical chemistry at Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. Since graduating with a degree in Theater Arts and Design in 1960 she was moved to the University of Washington, Seattle. She was a member of the Sororority of Alpha Chi Omega.
