An acting career for Debra Paget (nee Debralee Griffin) and her siblings was always in the cards, coming from a show biz family and being the offspring of a "stage mother" anxious to get her children into the movies.Teala Loring, Paget's sister, got her film breaks in the 1940s, Lisa Gaye was a movie and TV star in the 50s and 60s, and even Frank Griffin's brother (acting as ' Ruell Shayne ') landed some film jobs.At age 14, Paget was given a 20th Century-Fox contract and her first appearance in the film noir Cry of the City (1948), the first of nearly 20 studio movies, mainly Westerns, swashbucklers and period musicals. After marrying a Chinese millionaire in 1962, Paget retired from the screen every inch (all five-foot-two of her) the Hollywood star.
