How tall was Eddie Fisher?
Edwin Jack Fisher (August 10, 1928-September 22, 2010) was an actress and American singer. In the first half of the 1950s, he was one of the most popular musicians, selling millions of albums, and hosting his own TV show. Fisher divorced his first wife, actress Debbie Reynolds, after the death of Taylor's ex, film producer Mike Todd, to marry Reynolds 'best friend, actress Elizabeth Taylor. The scandalous affair has been extensively reported and has given Fisher negative attention. He went on to date Connie Stevens. Fisher, along with Reynolds, fathered Carrie Fisher and Todd Fisher, and with Stevens, Joely Fisher and Tricia Leigh Fisher. In 1946 Fisher crooned with the Buddy Morrow and Charlie Ventura bands. Eddie Cantor met him in 1949 at the Catskill Holiday Hotel in the Borscht Belt in Grossinger. Cantor's so-called Fisher discovery was later identified as a "manipulated" scheme by the publicity director of Grossinger, Milton Blackstone.
