Fantasia Monique Barrino (born June 30, 1984), professionally known by her mononym Fantasia, is a rapper, songwriter, actress and author of American R&B. She achieved fame in 2004 as the winner of the third season of the reality TV show American Idol. After her victory she released her debut single, "I Believe," that debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number one. She then released her debut album, Free Yourself, which was RIAA's Platinum certified and earned three Grammy awards for Barrino in 2006. She released her second album, Fantasia, in 2006, including the song "If I See U" which was eight weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot R&B / Hip-Hop Songs chart.
