Frank Aletter (January 14, 1926-May 13, 2009) was an American actor in theater, movie and television. Aletter was born in Queens , New York, and studied acting at the Manhattan Dramatic School. From 1946 to 1948 he joined the u.s. Army in Germany. Aletter's Broadway breakthrough in Mister Roberts arrived in 1950 as a substitute for Eli Wallach. In the 1950s he performed in Bells Are Ringinging, Time Limit, and Wish You Were Here on Broadway.
