George Raft (born George Ranft; 26 September 1901[1] –24 November 1980) was an American film actor and dancer identified with portrayals of gangsters in 1930s and 1940s crime melodramas. A stylish leader in dozens of films, Raft is remembered as a dancer at Bolero for his gangster roles in Scarface (1932), Each Dawn I Die (1939), and Billy Wilder's comedy Some Like It Hot (1959).
