The "Gigi" Hadid Jelena Noura is an American icon in beauty. She was signed in 2013 by IMG Models. Hadid featured in the Top 50 Models chart at Models.com in November 2014. She was named the British Beauty Council's Global Icon of the Year in 2016.Born in Los Angeles to Mohamed Hadid and formerly Yolanda Hadid, Jelena Noura Hadid (b. Van den Herik). Her mother is Netherlands, and her father is Palestinian. She claims descent from the Prince of Nazareth, Hence Al Omer, and from Galilee, via her father. The sister of Hadid, Bella and a cousin, Anwar are two younger children, both of whom are models, too. In 2013, she was awarded a diploma from high school at Malibu, where she was the captain of the Varsity volleyball team and a competitive horseback riders. She has two older parental sisters, Marielle and Alana.
