How tall was Glenda Farrell?
Glenda Farrell started films like Little Caesar (1931) and I Was a Fugitive from a Chain Gang (1932) as the archetypal wisecracking blonde in the 1930's. Diminutive, gray-eyed and naturally sassy, even before Warner Brothers picked her up as a contract player in 1929, she was a professional actress. She made her stage debut as a 7-year-old in "Uncle Tom's Cabin" as Little Eva. Ultimately, she made her way to Broadway through provincial theater where she scored a tangible hit in "Life Begins" (later recreating her screen role). That attracted the talent scouts in Hollywood, and her film contract followed in due course.
