He is best known for his role as Mark Twain who received a Tony and the first of his ten nominations for the Emmy Award. Holbrook, apart from the stage, made his name mainly on television and was memorable as Abraham Lincoln on The Bold Ones as Senator Hays Stowe: The Senator.
