Her mother, Kathleen Alexandrina Eva Matilda (Rogers), was from an English working-class family, and her father, Vasiliy Petrovich Mironov, was a Russian-born civil servant, from Kuryanovo, who was a diplomat of his own. Mirren attended girls ' St. Bernards High School, where she was going to perform in school plays.She began her acting career in theatre after high school and worked in many plays including in the West End and Broadway.
