The English film and scene character actor was Travers John Heagerty, which was named after the stage name Henry Travers. His most famous part in the 1946 film classic It's a Wonderful Life was guardian angel Clarence Odbody. For his supporting role in Frau Miniver, he was also nominated for an Academy Award.
