Irina Shayk-sometimes known as Irina Sheik-was born as Irina Valeryevna Shaykhlislamova in the USSR on January 6, 1986. She is a model and actress known from 2007 through 2014 for her appearances in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She was cover model for the issue of 2011. Shayk made her acting debut as Megara in Hercules (2014), alongside Dwayne Johnson.Shayk was born to Volga Tatar Valery Shaykhlislamov, a coal miner, and his Russian wife Olga, a music teacher at the kindergarten, in Yemanzhelinsk, U.S.S.R. She said she inherited her father's looks and people sometimes believe she's South American: "My father was dark skinned because he was Tatar, sometimes Tatars can look Brazilian... I get my mother's light eyes." She's got one child, a sister called Tatiana.
