How tall is Jack Carson?
Once Jack Carson came to Hollywood in 1937, he sought work as an extra at RKO. His first major film role was in romantic comedy Stand-In (1937) opposite Humphrey Bogart. He grew into a successful character actor after a few years, who would be seen in a vast number of comedies, musicals, and a few westerns. Not pleased with the way his career was going, he went to Warner Brothers in 1941 where he increased the consistency of his supporting roles. It didn't hurt to be in movies that featured James Cagney, including The Strawberry Blonde (1941) and The Bride Came C.O.D. (1941), either.
