Jaina Lee Ortiz (born Jessica Ortiz) is an American actress and dancer. From 2015 to 2017, she is known for her starring role as Detective Annalise Villa on Rosewood's Fox Police drama. She began acting in the ABC drama series Station 19 in 2018 as lead.Ortiz began her acting by performing in films for students. She then trained at Maggie Flanigan Studios for two years where she learned the Meisner technique. In 2009, Ortiz auditioned and was cast on the second season of VH1's reality show Scream Queens[5] in which she and nine other aspiring actresses competed in challenges based on acting for the opportunity to win a role prize in an upcoming movie.
