James Mason was a British film actor. He reached stardom in both American and British films. Mason studied architecture at the University of Cambridge before starting work at the "Old Vic" theater in London and with the Gates Company in Dublin. In 1949 he debuted in his first movie in Hollywood, Caught and from then on he starred in many feature films and television shows. Nominated three times for the Oscar never won any.His characteristic voice enabled him to represent an intimidating villain as well as his attractive appearance helped him to become a leading actor.
