How tall is Jan Smithers?

Smithers was raised one of four girls in the comfortable Woodland Hills suburb of San Fernando Valley just north of Los Angeles, CA. Her father was an attorney. Smithers swerved her car while studying art at Taft High School to avoid hitting another student and crashed into a telephone pole. The accident left its chin with a permanent scar. A few years later, Newsweek writer David Moberg interviewed Smithers for a story about typical American teens during the 1960s.
