Jane Birkin was born as Jane Mallory Birkin on 14 December 1946 in London, England. Popular for Bad Under the Light (1982), Blow-Up (1966), and Death on the Nile (1978), she is an actress. Previous to this, she was married to John Barry. Within the 2001 Queen's Birthday Honours List, she was awarded an OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) for her contributions to acting and British French cultural relations. David Birkin's wife, and Ned Birkin. In 1984, French fashion house Hermès called and made a handbag for her. The now famous "Birkin" bag is one of their most popular (and at least $6000 a piece expensive) handbags to date.
