Jane Therese Curtin was born on sixth September 1947. Years on, Jane, 27, was auditioning for a sketch variety series. That proved to be the first act to introduce her to fame, Saturday Night Live (1975). Jane won an interview over stern rival Mimi Kennedy. She had also married Patrick Lynch in the same year (1975). Jane went on from her five-year stint on SNL, raising a daughter named Tess in between a new series titled Kate & Allie with Susan Saint James (1984), which was about two unmarried women living in one house with their grandchildren.
