Janet Louise Johnson had been born in North Hollywood, California. She moved to New York to become a student after attending the UCLA for a year. She appeared on TV advertisements and made a guest appearance on the modelling clothes of The Mike Douglas Show (1961). When she auditioned, she got her big acting start, and won Nancy Drew's part, replacing Pamela Sue Martin. She has two older sisters and one younger sibling.Janet Julian graduated from North Hollywood High School in California, North Hollywood, USA in 1976. A homecoming princess was chosen. After Pamela Sue Martin left the show, The Hardy Boys / Nancy Drew Mysteries (1977), Nancy Drew played Drew in 1978 and then the role was lost.
