Jennifer is an actor on the British stage and on film. She was born in England's West Midlands, and has a degree in English and Drama from East Anglia University. She went from there to the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) and won Elizabeth Bennet's job at the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre before graduating.This role earned her several nominations for awards, including a spot on the long list for Best Newcomer The Evening Standard Award. Jennifer was highly praised for her work at the Royal Shakespeare Company (winning a nomination for an Ian Charleson Award) for her copious and diverse stage parts.While working with the RSC in New York, Jennifer auditioned for Valerie Dyer's role in ' Call the Midwife ' through self-tape, and she began playing that role within a week of returning to the UK.
