John Robert "Joe" Cocker OBE (May 20, 1944 – December 22, 2014) was an English singer known for his rugged singing, performance spasmodic body movement and distinctive interpretations of popular songs in various genres. In 1968, Cocker's version of the Beatles' "With a Little Support from My Friends" came number one in the UK. He sang the song live at Woodstock in 1969 and played at the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee at the Isle of Wight Festival the same year, and at the Party at the Palace Concert in 2002. His version later became the theme song for the TV show The Wonder Years.
