How tall was John Carradine?

The son of a reporter/artist and physician John Carradine grew up in Poughkeepsie, New York. He attended Christ Church School and Graphic Art School, studied drawing, and roamed the drawings selling in the South afterwards. In 1925 he made his acting debut in a New Orleans theater, "Camille." He arrived in Los Angeles in 1927, and worked at the local theatre. He applied to Cecil B. DeMille, who refused his designs but offered him voice work in some films, for a job as scenic designer. His on-screen debut, credited as Peter Richmond, was in Tol'able David (1930).
