How tall is John Lone?
Born Leung Kwok Ng in Hong Kong on 13 October 1952, John Lone was born spartanly by a single mother before he was shipped off to the Peking Opera school at the age of 7.He never saw his mum again. The Peking Opera may be a harsh and grueling life for a child, but he was a committed and tireless student and was funded later to pursue his studies in the U.S. He attended Santa Ana Community College, where he met and married Nina Savino, an Asian American studying drama and painting, in 1972. Lone finished his studies in Pasadena and New York, at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. They broke in 1979. John once said that Ng, Lung and Lone were "dragon" variations in various Chinese dialects, and that he wanted to use the dragon's strength for his life, which is why he assumed the name of the stage for which he was to become known.
