Joss Whedon is the oldest of five siblings-Jed Whedon and Zack Whedon are his younger brothers. His boss, Tom Whedon, and his grandfather, John Whedon, both have been popular TV authors. Lee Stearns, Joss' mother, was a history teacher and she also published novels including Lee Whedon. Whedon was born in New York and studied at Riverdale Country School, where he also taught his mother.
