Judd Apatow was born in Syosset, New York, USA on 6 December 1967. He is a producer and journalist, known for Girls (2012), Knocked Up (2007) and The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005). Since 9 June 1997 he has been married to Leslie Mann. They have two children. His first job in a comedy club was as a dishwasher, which he took so he could meet stand-up comedians. He began a radio show on the campus station while at secondary school. The series gave him an opportunity to search out comedians such as Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno and Garry Shandling and interview them. Shandling would employ him some years later to compose for The Larry Sanders Show (1992).
