Juliet Anne Prowse (September 25, 1936-September 14, 1996) was a dancer whose four-decade career included stage, TV and movies. She was brought up in South Africa where her family emigrated after the Second World War.Prowse was born to South African parents in Bombay, British India and reared in South Africa. She started studying dance when she was four. She was dancing at a club in Paris in her early twenties when she was spotted by a talent agent and eventually signed to play Claudine's role in Can-Can (1960) in the Walter Lang film.
